Biographical details
Irina comes from Russia, and holds MA from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis (2000) and PhD from the University of Edinburgh (2008). She joined CES in October 2007 as a member of the research team on the FP6 research project “Knowledge and Policy”. From November 2008 she has been working on her ESRC post-doctoral fellowship Exploring Academic Migration: Academic Mobility and Europeanisation with Professor Martin Lawn as mentor. She is the coordinator of the CES lunchtime seminar series.
Research Interests
Europeanisation, academic mobility, immigration, national identity, narrative biographic research, symbolic interaction.
